Interesting facts: The Lukovit treasure decorations magnificently illustrate the so-called Thracian animalistic style in the art of the neighboring peoples. The animalistic style was created by the Scyths (tribes living on the Northern Black Sea coast - north of the Thracian lands). It uses stylized parts of animals in various combinations that carry a certain religious and magical meaning. The Thracian masters developed this style, and in the compositions, they added plant ornaments and stylized human images and figures, which multiplied the magical language of the images.
