A client asked us once, ‘Which wooden whiskey cup should I choose? You have various types of wood, colour and metal - silver or gold plating. Which combination would be best for me?’ The answer depends on many factors: what wood you like, what colour would fit best to the setting in which the cup will be, etc. etc. Then we decided to write an article and try to describe our attitude towards the wood used in our cups, and its match with either silver or gold. With this, we hope to help you find your perfect cup.
Covering all the issues related to this topic turned out to be not an easy task.
Then, one evening, when our team gathered around the fireplace after a long working day, with a cup of aromatic whiskey in hand and some pleasant music at the background, we began a very interesting chat about the different types of wooden cups and their qualities, which we decided to describe for you in this article.
In it, we are going to offer our vision, which is not binding in any way, we do not want to influence your choice, we would just like to express our opinion. The idea is to share our feelings about the items we make because we breathe life into them, they carry part of us and create joy.
The day we had our get-together coincided with St. Patrick's Day and, to keep with tradition, we chose Irish whiskey. We settled around the round table. Before we started, our ‘Boss’ said, ‘Could we do it without reference to our names, please, we have to comply with the GDPR?’ Well, to please the GDPR people, we called ourselves First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth. But no matter what we call ourselves, we are the ones who create with our own hands all the items shown on our website: www.zografovart.com.
The first topic was what makes a bigger impression: the touch of the cup, the touch of the expensive and beautiful item owned by you, or what type of whiskey you pour into it? Some of us defended the first thesis – to drink from a cup that you like, that was made especially for you, and not just one of the many glasses you have. A very special feeling, giving additional joy to the whole experience. For the male part of the team, the drink was important, smelling the aroma, seeing its glints was what attracted them. However, we all agreed on the idea of the first touch, that the cup was personally yours, that it had a message for you and it was important that it was connected to your area, to your environment and your mood.
Third chimed in with an interesting question, ‘When you own a cup like this, made of oak or other wood, what do you expect from it?’
After a short reflection, in which each of us imagined the situation, we began to describe the pictures we saw in our heads.
First said he preferred the oak-and-gold cup
and associated it with a smoky Scotch whisky with a strong aroma that comes from the long ageing process in oak casks. He imagined a cabin in the forest with a fire in the hearth, pleasant company and good vibes. A natural environment that gave a feeling of warmth, cosiness and natural comfort. ‘The special effect we were looking for, namely the aged look of the wood, gives the item a sense of authenticity and simplicity in the interior,’ he added.
‘What about the blue oak cup with silver?’ asked Fourth.
‘Well, you have one; you better tell us how you like it.’
Fourth took a deep breath and sighed, ‘I’d been dreaming of having such a cup for a long time.
The cup in the photo is blue oak with rose gold
Fourth took a deep breath and sighed, ‘I’d been dreaming of having such a cup for a long time. It is so elegant and sophisticated. I was very excited when I received it as a present. I was particularly impressed by the message engraved on the bottom. Silver and blue are a divine combination. I don't think about what I'm going to pour into it, I'm impressed by its appearance and shape; I just love to feel it in my hand. I know this is my cup and it has a special place in my home. The feeling that it was made especially for me fills me with great joy. I was no less impressed by the luxurious packaging, a black box with a gold seal of the company, placed in a luxurious bag of the same style.’
‘I would add,’ said Third, ‘I associate it with a more extravagant setting, in a techno style. I imagine a cool party and young people talking about high technology, listening to electronic and house music and drinking whiskey with a spicy taste that is thick and intense.’
Taking a sip of their Irish whiskey, Second asked, ‘Do you remember how we came up with the idea of the blue colour?’
‘Oh yes,’ replied First, ‘we wanted to make something different, to offer a different colour to the wood. We made a green and a blue cup. At first, our clients were surprised, but then blue prevailed and it became their favourite.’
Summary:
Oak is traditional wood used in the manufacture of whiskey casks, so it is no surprise that oak cups are so popular for whiskey. The aged look of the wood is a specially-sought aftereffect with which we emphasize the natural material. The oak whiskey cup creates a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. When you hold it in your hand, it produces a feeling of comfort and tranquillity. It combines equally well with silver and gold.
The blue whiskey cup is the highlight in the oak series. They call it ‘tempting’ because it captivates with elegance and finesse. It is like the extravagant person who attracts the eyes of everyone around them, is the centre of attention and is not afraid to express their individuality. The pleasure of enjoying it often leads to unforgettable experiences.

It is interesting and remarkable how much history and how many artifacts there are in a territory as small as Bulgaria. During each excavation, archaeologists find a piece of the life of our ancestors. We are a nation with a rich past, and that is priceless. All these discoveries made by archaeologists are changing scientists' perceptions of the oldest centers of human civilization. The historical artifacts prove that a civilization flourished on the territory of Bulgaria long before the Hellenic one. A culture existed which created items of high artistic value.
‘There are two very real reasons to buy business gifts that are not necessarily warm and fuzzy. One is obviously to thank someone for their business for the year. The other is to make sure you remain top of mind, and to get your name in front.’

Easter customs are highly cherished among Christians worldwide, and one of them is associated with eggs. The origin of this tradition is uncertain. Some say that the custom of colouring and giving eggs dates back to Ancient Egypt, Persia, Rome, China, and Greece.

If you have the chance to visit the museum in Vratsa, you will come upon an incredible sight: dozens of small dishes, placed in special chambers, as if telling you their own story. Their splendid detail sparkles in the dark, and we can only marvel at how they were made by the ancient craftsmen
Did you know that there are people who prefer their name days to their birthdays? Our name day symbolizes the energy that is encoded in our name. It is part of our individuality and, like the birthday, defines us in the world. Even if we regard this day as a celebration of many people with the same name, it is also an occasion to unite with them and experience a common emotion of the positive energy and good wishes we receive. When choosing a name day present, you need to bear in mind the following....
